Planets in Sagittarius
The 9th Sign of the Zodiac, Sagittarius is symbolised by a Centaur with the top part being of a human and the lower part being of a horse. They thus have both the good and bad instincts. The human part which has a bow and arrow pointing upwards, suggests that they have a spiritual nature. It also suggests that they are very positive and try to look at the brighter side of life, never getting bogged down by any kind of difficulties.
On the other hand, they can be quite rude and may reject the best of advice. They are very active and love open spaces, and outdoor activities. They take interest in all sorts of games and physical activities. They are sympathetic and sincere; always making an effort to fix problems of their loved ones. Although they are very active, it can sometimes show up as restlessness. They also find it difficult to focus on many things at once.
Astrology deals with ten planets, namely the Sun, the Moon (the two luminaries are considered planets in astrology), Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Minor celestial bodies, such as the Dark Moon, asteroids and the nodal axis, are also taken into account. Each planet has its precise function in the natal chart, and represents a specific energy. The planet’s action is influenced by the sign it tenants. It plays out primarily in the area of life indicated by the house where it is posited.
Sagittarius Ruling Planet: Jupiter
Jupiter (Zeus in Greek mythology) was the supreme God of the Romans. Jupiter was the main protector of the Roman people. This God was portrayed in two ways - as an incredible leader giving wisdom and justice to all, and also as a womanizer. Jupiter in Sagittarius makes this sign one of the luckiest. It also gives them a desire to find a deeper meaning in life as well as a desire to travel. Sagittarians tend to get a bad rap in the cheating department as well, which is caused by their difficulty with committing to one thing for a long period of time.
This third fire sign is ruled by Jupiter, the largest planet. It’s mutable fire, so its enthusiasm can spread at times like a brush fire. Scattered? Well, maybe. This sign is out to experience everything life has to offer. Sagittarius planets tend to have terminal case of the grass-is-greener syndrome. They are adventurous, bored by routine, generous, and optimistic to a fault. They can also be excessive, tending to overdo and overindulge. These planets adore foreign places, foreign people, maps, and outdoor activities. They’re not known for neatness or for accepting just a sliver of anything. They’re only too happy to preach, advertise, philosophize, and learn by having the big picture explained. Sagittarian planets are also quite prophetic at times, since Jupiter is the planet that rules higher learning. They absolutely believe in the power of laughter and aren’t above embarrassing themselves to make someone laugh.
